Charity:Water About Charity:Water: Charity:Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. They give 100% of the money raised to direct project costs, funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need. Drilling a well can cost from $4,000 - $12,000, but with the help of exemplary organizations on the ground (some examples include Water for People, Living Water International, Healing Hands International, Action Against Hunger, and A Glimmer of Hope) they can drill wells and provide people with this basic, essential need. Included in this process are training programs, where their partners teach well maintenance and basic hygiene and sanitation to maximize lifespan and impact of the new water sources. Since Charity:Water was founded and began activity in August 2006, they have funded the construction of more than 1,247 wells that, when completed, will provide clean drinking water to 650,000 people. http://www.charitywater.org
